A commonplace lack of common sense

How silly– several people have told me that their audiology department calls patients up for their appointment by saying or shouting the name! (It is the same where I go!) No visual systems at all!



  1. The hearing aid fitting follow-up appointment by telephone always strikes me as an unusual concept too…

  2. Hi MoiraDancer, thank you for your comment 🙂 Personally I’ve only used drop-in clinics so far since my original fitting appointment which arrived by snail-mail.
    However a severely hearing impaired friend of mine says the same happens to her– the audiology department tries to phone her and won’t e-mail or fax…. :-/ Ridiculous!
